Damaged play equipment
Broken swings, slides, fences or surfaces in a playground or park.
Who deals with it
It goes to your district, borough or unitary council. Area Watch works out which one from where you are, so you do not have to.
What to photograph
Photograph the broken part close up and the whole piece of equipment. If it could hurt a child, tell other parents to keep away until it is fixed.
What the report includes
- The place, from your phone or the map, with the nearest address and postcode.
- Up to five photos, with location and camera data removed.
- What you say or type about it.
No personal details are sent with this kind of report.
What happens next
Area Watch files it with them and you get a notification when it has been filed, with their reference number when they give one. Everything they tell us appears under My cases in the app, and you can mark it closed once it is fixed.
The Android app is in testing. It will be on Google Play first; an iPhone version follows.
